When it comes to breast cancer treatments, your surgeon, medical oncologist, radiation oncologist, pathologist, and radiologist will meet during the twice-monthly Tumor Conference to discuss your care plan.
At the Tumor Conference, your team of caregivers will review mammograms and any MRIs with the radiologist present. Then the pathology findings from the biopsy are reviewed with the pathologist. After reviewing these items, the doctors offer their opinions about the most appropriate treatment plan, while adhering to national guidelines.
Treatment may include:
- Radiation Therapy
- Endocrine Therapy (Anti-Hormonal Therapy)
