Computer-Aided Detection (CAD)

The Hologic R2 Checker digitizes and analyzes mammograms to help radiologists better see suspicious areas.

Breast MRI

MRI is useful for screening women at high risk for breast cancer and for preoperative planning.

Ultrasound

Used along with screening mammogram to detect areas of concern.

Stereotactic Biopsy

Stereotactic biopsy is a minimally invasive procedure that uses mammography to find and remove abnormal tissue from the breast. ​

Mammotome-Guided Biopsy

Using ultrasound to identify suspicious areas, mammotome-guided biopsy allows the surgeon or radiologist to collect samples through a very small incision.

Surgical Biopsy

When larger tissue samples are needed, a surgical biopsy is performed. It is a little more invasive, and it may require a 1-2 inch incision.
